http://www.pocketfives.com/f7/aa-bubble-satty-question-598428/#post5724779Yik this topic has probably been beaten to death heaps of times.
We are on the exact bubble of a $2r satty to WCOOP-03, next person eliminated gets $20.88, everyone else gets $215 seats.
Given the extreme shortness of the stacks to my right, should I just openfold the AA here? Or is it worth it to r/f? (I assume it would be beyond terrible to jam or r/c, if I'm wrong about that plz let me know). iirc, there weren't equivalent short stacks on the other table.

There are people here who know this stuff a lot better than I do, but I am pretty sure you should shove this as everyone else will have to fold. Folding probably isnt awful since you have the seat pretty much wrapped up. Raising is terrible as it gives someone the opportunity to shove over you making you fold (or call, depending which stack it is).

You were only up against oreh at that point and you had enough chips that he would be making a terrible call to your shove if he wanted to be an ass and take you out just for fun. Some players enjoy doing this but only once they have enough chips. I'd say oreh didn't have enough to do that, so shoving AA there is the right play.

Kind of a related question. How do you calculate your chances of being able to folding to cash? I mean, at some point shoving AA becomes bad, even if you only get called like 5% of the time and win 80% of those hands (about 1% chance to bust).
